The Mirage Hotel and Casino, an iconic fixture of the Las Vegas Strip for over three decades, is closing its doors on July 17. As the storied venue prepares for its final bow, it’s not going out quietly. Instead, the Mirage is giving its patrons a last chance to experience the thrill of winning big through its “Progressive Finale Cash Giveaway” program. This closure also marks a transformative period for the site, as it is set to reopen in 2027 as the Hard Rock Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, a city known for its dazzling lights and vibrant nightlife, is about to witness the closure of one of its iconic establishments—the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Before the final curtain falls on July 17, the Mirage is offering its patrons a spectacular opportunity to win big through its “Progressive Finale Cash Giveaway” program.

In accordance with Nevada gaming policy, the Mirage has set up an exciting event allowing casino players to win over $1.6 million. Attendees can participate in both slot machine games and table games, with a chance to win substantial prizes. The giveaway includes $1.2 million in slot machine prizes and $400,000 at-the-table games, ensuring that the Mirage’s final days are filled with the same excitement and energy it has provided for over three decades.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board mandates that casinos must have a plan to pay out their progressive jackpots before they close. The hotel emphasized its commitment to ensuring that these jackpots find their way into the hands of lucky winners as part of this grand finale.

In May, after more than thirty years of operation, the Mirage Hotel and Casino announced that it would be closing its doors. The news sent ripples through the Las Vegas community and among the many patrons who have cherished memories of this legendary venue. However, this announcement came with a silver lining. The Mirage’s closure marks the beginning of a new chapter for the location.

On their Facebook page, the hotel revealed that the site will not remain dormant for long. In 2027, the Mirage will reopen as Hard Rock Las Vegas. The transformation promises to bring a new era of entertainment and innovation to the Las Vegas Strip. “We look forward to the beginning of an exciting journey into a new era as Hard Rock Las Vegas will ignite the Strip with entertainment, innovation, and world-class hospitality,” the post read.
